ABOUT  THE  BEST  LION

Jedi heart.png

This website is dedicated as a tribute to Du the best Lion, as well as a platform for sharing his love. May the best Lion be an inspiration.

Please note that on this website and the eBook, PRESENT tense was used to describe Du, not because of how much I wish that Du had never gone, but for the very fact that he continues to be around us. This is explained under REVELATION.

His NAMES :

Du, Bo Bo, Lion are how he is called. The funny name of Du was used mostly by me. It is a simple name modified from Dude, as I viewed him as a cute little fellow. My sister considered herself as the mother of Du instantly. Bo Bo, which means treasure, was named by her. When Du migrated to Europe, he suffered much stress from the big and sudden change. As a result, his uncle had been challenged by Du. Instead of getting angry, he was very impressed by Du´s courage, so he called him Lion or León in Spanish. He found that Du´s bravery is not proportional to his size. Du the best Lion is a giant in character. He is very macho and protective.

His most used names.

His IQ and EQ :

Du is not a toy dog as he seemed by his size. After doing a few IQ tests, I discovered that Du has exceptional IQ. His mama always said he is "half-human, half-dog." His uncle even said his IQ may be higher than we ever knew. Du enjoys not only high IQ but also amazing EQ.

His BREED :

Most people thought that Du is a Shih Tzu mixed with Schnauzer. In fact, he is a Lhasa Apso. Lhasa Apso is known to be alert, courageous, independent, intelligent, and loyal. Du reached nearly 15 years old, which is considered a blessed age for his breed. However, no matter how old he attained, it never seems enough for his beloved humans, from the moment he imprinted us with his lovely pawprints when he was a tiny puppy.

Du walked many times on wet cement in our garden to leave us his footprints.

A happy dog that knows he is fortunate

Du´s uncle told me many times that old dogs usually do not have a happy face, but Du still showed radiance and joy when he was in the vet clinic for emergency treatment. He said that Du is a grateful dog, he knew that he was under great care and love. Sweet Du taught us to count our blessings to stay happy.

love

What had we done to deserve such a loving animal?

Perhaps the love we received reflected the love we gave. Du requested so little and gave so much in return. His return upon passing proved that our bonding with him is eternal.

If we never had Du, we would never understand why people said dogs are humans´ best friends. Du is not a pet, he is our family. He views himself as equal to his pack. He loves us dearly and forgives us quickly. My sister misses Du, her son, a great deal, and will never forget Du´s compassion when she was exhausted, sad, and lonely.
